Rovers snub new Roque bid

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that they have rejected an improved bid from Manchester City for star striker Roque Santa Cruz.
The 27-year-old Paraguay international has already been the subject of one failed offer from the Citizens, reported to have been in the region of £12million.
Santa Cruz has scored 27 goals in 59 appearances since his arrival at Ewood Park in the summer of 2007 from Bayern Munich.
However, he has made it clear that he would relish the chance to move to Eastlands and work with former Rovers boss Mark Hughes again.
Hughes admitted: "We have made an improved bid, a substantial bid and it was rejected.
"We still want to bring Roque Santa Cruz to the club if we can, but he's still Blackburn's player and at the moment they don't want to deal at the level we are at.
"We will make any future decisions in regards to their response.
"We bid £12million in the summer and the latest offer was significantly higher than that. We will now have to wait and see."
