Roma Warn Off City Over Daniele De Rossi Bid!

It appears Roberto Mancini is set to miss out on one of his top targets, with the news that Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi will not be sold in January.

Roma president James Palotta has revealed their star midfielder will not be sold under any circumstances, in a bid to scare off any potential bids from Manchester City or Paris St Germain.

James Palotta: “We have absolutely no intention of selling De Rossi. We have not had any contact from anyone and we have not received any offers. It is just speculation.”

"We understand he wants Champions League football with Roma.

“But we definitely intend to qualify for the Champions League.

“If we don’t, we will be extremely unhappy."
