Robinho wants Pele answers

Robinho's representatives have demanded a retraction from Brazil legend Pele after he suggested the Manchester City striker had used drugs.

The 25-year-old has already strenuously denied the allegations which emerged over the weekend in South America and the former Real Madrid striker is now seeking an apology from Pele.

Robinho's representatives told his official website: "A formal retraction from Pele will be requested if what he said was not misinterpreted by the media that published it.

"And if Pele does not come forward, he will have to deal with his very unfortunate comment in court.

"Robinho is upset and disappointed at Pele, who seems to have forgotten the great idol he was.

"It appears Pele must be reading sensationalist media to come up with such a wrongful statement."
