Robinho still three weeks away

Manchester City striker Robinho is still three weeks away from returning from injury, according to manager Mark Hughes.

Robinho has missed City's last four games with an ankle ligament injury picked up on international duty with Brazil earlier in the month.

The £32.5million British record signing was believed to be on the verge of making his return to first-team action, but Hughes has now revealed the former Real Madrid star is likely to be sidelined until the middle of October.

Speaking after Monday's 3-1 victory over West Ham United, he said: "It (the ankle) is still in a pot, so he is not training, just doing work in the gym.

"I would imagine it would be another two to three weeks."
