Robinho out of Spurs trip
14 May 2009 - 11:41:45
Manchester City will be without injured Brazilian Robinho for Saturday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
The South American star picked up a groin problem in last weekend's 2-0 derby defeat by Manchester United and will not travel to London.
"We do not expect him to be fit this weekend," revealed manager Mark Hughes. "We are hoping he will be okay for Bolton next week."
City remain in the race for a place in next season's Europa League but Hughes will have Shaun Wright-Phillips back in his ranks.
The England winger has missed the last six games with a knee injury but will be fit to face Spurs.
"There has been some bruising on the bone which has taken longer to recover from than we thought," explained Hughes.
"But he's back training again from today and we think he will be fine for the weekend."
