Robinho just wasn't up for the Premier League, blasts axed Man City coach

Familiar face: Robinho was frustrated at City Former Manchester City assistant Mark Bowen has hit back at Robinho after the Brazilian lifted the lid on his misery at Eastlands. The 26-year-old forward quit the Premier League for a loan move back to his homeland with Santos - after failing to live up to his £34million price tag. Robinho got off to a flyer with the winner against Sao Paulo on Sunday and then insisted he had come home 'in search of happiness'. The former Real Madrid man also took a swipe at the tactics used by ex-City boss Mark Hughes and current gaffer Roberto Mancini. But Bowen, who worked under Hughes, insists Robinho couldn't handle the English top flight. 'He took a lot of stick but he did massively underperform, especially awayfrom home,' Welshman Bowen told the BBC.
