The £32m British record signing ended a miserable spell at Eastlands on Monday by completing a move to the Serie A giants for around £18m. His departure from City has largely been met with joy from supporters after he failed to live up to his massive price tag. But the former Real Madrid forward?s quality was never in doubt ? as proven by his outstanding displays for Brazil at this summer?s World Cup. Now he is hoping to rebuild his career in Milan, where he joins a host of world class names, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Pato at the San Siro. Success And he is convinced he can achieve the success in Italy that he never managed in the Premier League. ?Milan has great players and it's a fantastic side with a very important history,? said Robinho. ?I hope with the rest of my team-mates to be able to contribute to hand many titles to this club. ?Kaka has always spoken to me very well about Milan and now I know that the Brazilian players in the team will give me a great hand in adapting to the team. ?I will work very hard to make the fans very happy. I want to bring so much joy to them.? Robinho was signed as a statement of intent by City?s Abu Dhabi owners when they sensationally bought the club in 2008. Despite some impressive displays in his first season, scoring 15 goals, he spent the second half last season on loan to Santos.
