    Robinho eyes derby success

    25 Nov 2008 - 10:27:17

Robinho believes Manchester City can be considered favourites to win Sunday's derby showdown with Manchester United.

The £32million Brazilian is hoping to shake off an ankle knock in time to feature and believes the fact the game is being played at Eastlands gives his team-mates a major advantage.

Robinho has been in sensational form since his arrival as a British transfer record purchase from Real Madrid in August, scoring nine goals in 14 games in all competitions.

"We are all looking forward to the match with United. We have good chances to win, although they are very strong," he said.

"But we play at home. We have to think that, in our own stadium, we are always favourites."

Meanwhile, Robinho has reaffirmed his commitment to City.

The Brazil international was widely expected to join Chelsea during the summer transfer window before City came in with a shock 11th hour approach.

"Chelsea? This question belongs to the past. I'm a City player and I only think about making the club successful," he continued.

"I don't regret the choice I've made - I'm very happy at the club."
