Robinho closes in on comeback

Robinho could return for Manchester City a week on Wednesday when they face Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup. The Brazilian is on the mend after suffering from an ankle injury that has seen him miss five games for the club. Manager Mark Hughes told www.mcfc.co.uk: "Robi is not far away, he's probably got about 10 days and then he can return to the group. "He's working every day and is on track but you cannot come back early when it is a bone injury."
