Roberto Mancini insists Manchester City players are best in the world

Roberto Mancini paid tribute to his Manchester City match-winners David Silva and Jo, and even described his players as being among the 'best in the world'. Victory in Salzburg gives City an early advantage in Group A, with rivals Juventus surprisingly held 3-3 by Lech Poznan in Turin. Juventus are next up at home for City, and Mancini clearly believes he has the firepower to outgun the Italians. 'We are talking about two important players,' said Mancini. 'For me, my players are the best in the world. I think David is a fantastic player and for him it's a different situation now, playing different football, but after one month he will be ready to go 100 per cent for the team. He will be an important player for the future. More of the same: Mancini will be hoping his side's positive European form will be taken back to the Premier League 'He played for Valencia in the Champions League for many years. The Premier League is different and every player needs one or two months to understand English football. 'David can play in every position. For Valencia he played either right or left wing, but I think this position is the best for him.' Go-go Jo: The Brazilian striker scored City's second and impressed boss Mancini with his performance 'Jo has scored a good goal and I hope that he continues to play like he did tonight. 'The Europa League is very important to us and I'm happy because it was important to start the group well. I thought we deserved to win this game.'  Red Bull Salzburg 0 Man City 2: Silva lining for Mancini's men with Jo on target tooEUROPA LEAGUE LIVE: How Thursday's action unfoldedHair comes the new Tevez!
