Petrov's City frustration
Unsettled Manchester City winger Martin Petrov has again expressed his frustration at a lack of opportunities. Petrov found himself on the bench for Monday's draw at Aston Villa just a week after earning a Man-of-the-Match award for the win over West Ham. City boss Mark Hughes preferred Craig Bellamy to play wide on the left against Villa and with Robinho due to return from injury soon, Petrov knows his first-team chances will be even more limited. "When they give me a chance I give my best," said Petrov. "I think I've shown that I deserve a place in the starting line-up but it's up to him (Hughes). "It is not pleasant. I am a professional and I am observing my obligations but it doesn't rest well with me." Petrov also cleared up confusion over his goal celebration against West Ham when he ran a few paces towards the dug-outs before holding the back of his shirt to emphasise the name, apparently to Hughes. Hughes shrugged off the incident and Petrov insists he was not trying to make a point to his manager "I didn't do it for him," added Petrov. "I did it for my wife because she forgot my number."
