Pearce remains upbeat
07 Nov 2006 - 08:12:01
Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce feels his side's form is not as bad as their recent run of poor results suggests.
The Citizens were beaten 1-0 at Charlton Athletic at the weekend, meaning that Pearce's side have earned just one point from six games on their travels this term.
However, an upbeat Pearce told the Manchester Evening News: "If we go continue to go on the road and create that number of chances, I would say that we would win games sooner rather than later.
"But if you couple the result with the away form, it's disappointing.
"I said to the boys in the dressing room that despite dominating the game, the bottom line is that the score was 1-0.
"Sooner rather than later we are going to have to eradicate little things like someone not stopping a cross, or one of their forwards losing a defender, because that swings games.
"That's the Premiership for you."
