Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce has admitted he is keen to strengthen his mis-firing squad in the January transfer window.
The Citizens are currently 14th in the Premiership table following an inconsistent start to the campaign and Pearce is keen to bolster his squad at the earliest possible opportunity.
However, he doesn't yet know how much cash will be available to strengthen his hand.
"We are looking at players who will improve us," said Pearce.
"I need to sit down with the chairman and see what finance is available to me, but I have positions I am prioritising.
"Not a great deal of business gets done during the January window, so whether I can get those players is another matter.
"But we have certainly been very busy looking."
