Pearce: I'm best man for job

Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce insists he is the man to lift the club to the next level, despite reports linking current Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce with the Eastlands post.
Allardyce is believed to be the first choice of Ray Ranson to take over as boss if the former City player successfully launches a takeover of the club.
However, Pearce is convinced he will remain in charge, even though City have flirted with relegation this term, and have struggled for goals throughout the campaign.
After watching his side lose 2-0 at home to Aston Villa, Pearce said: "I'm very confident to be honest, I don't feel there's a better man out there to do my job.
"I know what constraints I've had to work under for the last two years at this football club and I know what needs to be done.
"I actually had a board meeting on Thursday morning and it was very constructive and pointing in the right direction.
"If the chairman feels another manager is better than I am then I'm behind the chairman, but he doesn't. He feels I'm the best man for the job."
