Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce has set his side a target of three wins from their last four Premiership matches after seeing their recent good run ended by a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal.
The loss finished City's five-match unbeaten run that had seem them move out of relegation trouble, but Pearce is still hoping for a strong finish to an inconsistent campaign.
"I was disappointed from the players' point of view because they set about the game-plan and I thought they did very well. I felt quite comfortable," said the former England international.
"After they scored the first, we were a bit ragged for five minutes. After that we got back into the game and did well to come in at half-time level.
"We had as many efforts as they did in the first half, they kept the ball well, which you expect. Second half the crowd got edgy and it's a wonder strike from Fabregas that's put them in front on 75 minutes.
"It was disappointing for me because they had a right go. I thought the endeavour of the players was fantastic.
"Now I hope we can try and get 50 points before the end of the season."
