Palermo face up to losing Manchester City target Javier Pastore

Attracting attention: Argentinian Pastore Palermo admit it will be difficult to keep hold of Javier Pastore if Manchester City make a big move for the Argentina playmaker. Sunday newspaper reports claimed City were readying a January bid for the 21-year-old, with Palermo duly slapping a £40million price-tag on his head. Roberto Mancini has watched his team draw with Blackburn and lose to Sunderland in their last two Barclays Premier League fixtures, with question marks over whether his midfield has too much brawn and not enough creativity.  Pastore is a talented but imposing 6ft 2in midfielder who only signedfor Palermo from Huracan last summer in a £5m deal. Palermo vice-president Guglielmo Micciche said: 'We will enjoy Javier this season, as we know keeping him beyond this season will be difficult. 'Theoffers that have already come in for him are tough to refuse. In the next few seasons, we shall see what happens, as we have refused many offers for him. (Palermo president Maurizio) Zamparini wants to keep himfor one more season.' Pastore is seen as a future star for Argentina and is well schooled in the English game. He recently revealed he had been made to watch tape after tape of Arsenal matches during his time in Argentina as his former coach was obsessed with Arsene Wenger's tactical approach.  Manchester City boss Mancini: Next six games will decide our seasonManchester City 1 Blackburn 1: You can't buy spirit, Samba tells CityBottle thrown at Blackburn's Diouf as he goads Manchester City fansUnited defender Neville: Now I hate Manchester City more than LiverpoolMANCHESTER CITY FC
