Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu has ruled out the possibility of joining Manchester City in the current transfer window.
The former Chelsea striker has been linked with a return to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Mutu spent one-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge before leaving under the cloud of a failed drugs test in 2004.
But despite suggestions that the Romania striker was unsettled at the Florence club and seeking a mid-season transfer, Mutu claims he is happy to see out the remainder of the season with Fiorentina.
"Will I go to Manchester City? I don't think so," said the 31-year-old, who successfully rebuilt his tarnished career at first Juventus and then Fiorentina.
"At the moment I just want to have a successful second half of the season with Fiorentina."
