Argentina international Lionel Messi has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer transfer from Barcelona to Manchester City.
Reports on Thursday morning suggested City were lining up a big-money bid for Messi, but the 21-year-old has responded by saying he is more than happy to stay at the Camp Nou.
He said in an interview with Publico: "If it depended only on me then I would stay at Barcelona for the rest of my career and no other club will convince me otherwise. The rumours are pure fantasy."
Meanwhile, Messi is determined to help the Catalan giants taste glory in Europe this season, adding: "The Champions League is the most difficult to win and we are thinking more game to game.
"But we will have to be able to beat anyone if we want to win it.
"We can beat anyone with the players we have. With players like Xavi, Iniesta and Dani Alves all assisting, it is natural that we will score goals."
