Mark van Bommel's agent lines up Holland veteran with move to Manchester City or Spurs

Mark van Bommel's agent is said to be sounding out Tottenham and Manchester City about a Bosman free transfer from Bayern Munich. The 33-year-old has lucrative offers from America and the Middle East but wants to play in an elite European league to stay in contention for Holland, who are coached by his father-in-law Bert van Marwijk. The tough-tackling midfielder is happy at Bayern, but his agent is working on alternatives in case the Bundesliga giants don't make him an attractive offer to stay beyond the end of the season. Tottenham have been identified as a potential destination as Harry Redknapp looks to add more bite to his midfield.  Decisions decisions: Van Bommel could be heading for England The Barclays Premier League side have their eye on Real Madrid's Lassana Diarra amid Wilson Palacios' poor form and the feeling that recently arrived Brazil midfielder Sandro is not yet up to the job. Van Bommel would also be keen to join up with Holland team-mate Nigel de Jong at Eastlands to form a fearsome partnership, but Manchester City have no shortage of defensive midfielders. The former PSV Eindhoven star told De Telegraaf: 'I'll talk first with Bayern. If we can't agree, only then will I look elsewhere. 'There is interest from the Middle East and the US, but I don't see myself doing that. I want to carry on playing at a high level till Euro 2012 because I believe (Holland) can win with the group of players we have.'  Liverpool set to turn attention to Diarra if Real Madrid pip them to M'VilaTevez admits he is homesick but will honour his contract at Manchester CityMANCHESTER CITY FC
