Manchester City star Adebayor returns to training for first time since bus attack

Back in training: Emmanuel Adebayor Emmanuel Adebayor has returned to training with Manchester for the first time since the horrifying bus attack in Angola which killed three people. Adebayor has been in Togo on compassionate leave since the attack on January 8, as the national team arrived for the Africa Cup of Nations. The striker could make his City return in their Carling Cup showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. The football world united in grief after the horrifying attack in Angola. Despite some players suggesting they wanted to play, Togo pulled out of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Adebayorplayed in a commemorative match on January 15 against a Togo Mediafootball club, to honour the assistant coach Abalo Amelete, and mediaofficer Stanislas Ocloo, who both died in the tragedy. The bus driverwas also killed in the ambush. They lost to Everton in the Premier League, but remain right in the hunt for fourth spot, and are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup after victory at Scunthorpe.
