Manchester City deny deal for 35m Real Madrid icon Raul

Manchester City last night denied reports from Spain that an agent working on their behalf had offered Real Madrid striker Raul a four-year deal worth £35m. Raul, 31, may leave Madrid if former president Florentino Perez is re-elected. Reports claimed that contact had been made with Raul's agent Gines Carvajal by people working on behalf of City owner Sheikh Mansour.
