Man City's Sinclair has blood clot removed
Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has undergone surgery to remove a blood clot in his shoulder, the club have confirmed.
The 24-year-old remains in hospital but is likely to be discharged at the weekend and will return for a check-up in about a month, a club representative indicated. Sinclair was taken to hospital after feeling unwell last Friday and news of his condition emerged following Saturday's game at Swansea.
Speaking after his side's latest game against West Brom, manager Roberto Mancini said: "We are very sorry for Scott but we hope he recovers quickly. Scott is getting better, he is in the hospital."
