On your Marco: Motta will join City on loan Manchester City are set to complete the loan signing of Marco Motta and are also in talks over a deal to bring Italy striker Antonio Cassano to Eastlands. The Italians share an agent, Beppe Bozzo, who has been in discussions with chiefs at Roberto Mancini's club. Motta's arrival from Roma till the end of the season is thought to be imminent and the 23-year-old all but confirmed the move after playing in the Coppa Italia win against Catania on Tuesday night. 'I want to thank everyone for the months I spent with the Giallorossi. See you soon,' he said. Mancini is weighing up Sampdoria striker Cassano as a potential replacement for Robinho, who is set to return to Brazil on loan. Reports in Italy suggest it will be difficult to do a deal for Cassano before the window closes, but Bozzo remains in contact with the Barclays Premier League club. City are also considering moves for AC Milan veteran Filippo Inzaghi and Juventus striker Amauri.
