Lille have joined Manchester City and Sunderland in the race to sign Younes Kaboul from Portsmouth. The French high-flyers are preparing a £9million bid for the 24-year-old centre back after losing Nicolas Plestan to injury and Aurelian Chedjou to the Africa Cup of Nations. Lens have also been linked with a move for the former Auxerre player, but Pompey's £14m price tag is proving prohibitive.
