Kaka dismisses City talk
09 Sep 2008 - 10:51:18
Kaka has denied claims from his agent that he would be interested in joining the Premier League's latest financial powerhouse Manchester City.
The Brazil star's agent, Diogo Kotscho, suggested earlier in the week that he could become the latest big name to arrive at Eastlands.
The Citizens have already smashed the British transfer record to sign fellow Brazilian Robinho following the news that their coffers have been swelled by an imminent takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group.
But Kaka, who was linked with a move to Real Madrid from current club AC Milan throughout the summer, has cooled suggestions that he could be the latest star name to arrive in Manchester.
"Before it was Real Madrid, now it's England that is in fashion," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The market is like that, just as Milan make offers, other clubs make offers to Milan.
"But I will never ask to leave. I have always been treated well and my rapport is excellent.
"Perhaps one day they may change their approach with respect to me but I don't see that happening.
"I will only leave if Milan decide to sell me or perhaps on the day when we no longer have the same objectives and that day has not come.
"Milan has done a good job in the transfer market, the club still wants to win and be competitive and those are my aims."
