Kaka could snub City move
14 Jan 2009 - 12:26:34
Kaka's advisor has warned Manchester City that his client will 'not do a Robinho' and join the club purely for financial reasons.
City are reported to have lodged a world record transfer fee of 100million euros with AC Milan for the Brazilian superstar.
The 26-year-old midfielder would link up with compatriot Robinho at Eastlands should the Italian club decide to cash in.
But Kaka's spokesman, Diogo Kotscho, has warned City that his client is unlikely to move for financial reasons alone - something Robinho was accused of after selecting City ahead of Chelsea when he moved for a British transfer record £32.5million in August.
"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't do a matter based on money, but to the competitiveness of the English side," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"Ricky (Kaka) would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself with not a winning solution."
Meanwhile, Milan have denied holding talks over Kaka's future with a delegation of City officials - believed to include chief executive Garry Cook - who flew out to Italy on Tuesday.
