Brazil international Kaka has admitted that he was very close to leaving AC Milan and joining Manchester City last month.
City had offered a world record transfer fee for the 26-year-old who is convinced he made the right decision when he opted to stay in Italy.
He told Sportsmediaset: "I thought about what I had won here, and also the things that I still want to win in these colours, and because of that, I couldn't leave.
"Another decisive factor was the affection of the fans, which was extremely important for me.
"I never wanted to leave this club, and this was proven by the fact that I rejected all of the offers that came my way.
"However, out of respect for Milan, I did consider some of City's offers, as from an economic point of view, their proposal was very convenient for them, meaning that I was considering leaving the club.
"AC Milan are also a business and in this moment of crisis, I think it is normal to consider the budget."
