It's good to be back - Johnson
Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson has spoken of his pride after he returned to action for his hometown club against West Ham on Monday night. Johnson came on as a second half substitute in the 3-1 Barclays Premier League win at the City of Manchester Stadium as he continues his recovery from a variety of problems that have kept him out of the team for a year. And having received a rapturous reception from the City faithful, Johnson is keener than ever to get back in the rhythm. "It was great to get back, it has been too long and the fans were wonderful with me from the moment I warmed up to when I got on the pitch," Johnson told www.mcfc.co.uk. "I think I am the only Manchester born lad in the squad at the moment so perhaps there is a special bond but City fans have always cherished their own and it was a special moment."
