Hughes refusing to panic
29 Nov 2009 - 10:42:18
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes believes that his side will soon get back to winning ways, following a 1-1 stalemate with Hull City which made it seven Premier League draws in a row for the Citizens.
A Shaun Wright-Phillips goal right on half-time looked like proving decisive, before Jimmy Bullard levelled with a penalty for the visitors eight minutes from time.
Afterwards, Hughes told reporters: "There is pressure to get results, any manager will tell you that. But we are still in the mix at the top end of the league.
"At times we look what we are, a team that has come together very quickly. At others we look strong and established.
"There is a process to go through and I believe the owners understand that concept as well.
"What we have to do is keep picking up points. We are doing that and it is only a matter of time before we start winning again."
Hughes was boosted, however, by the return from injury of Robinho, with the Welshman adding: "I thought he was excellent.
"He showed good energy and was really sharp to begin with. We will get him up to speed as quickly as possible because he is going to be a key player for us."
