Hart ponders loan option
24 May 2007 - 14:25:15
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says he is more than happy to go out on loan next season to gain regular first-team action.
The 20-year-old made one senior appearance during his first season with the Citizens, but gained further experience during loan spells with Tranmere Rovers and Blackpool.
Hart told the Manchester Evening News: "There being four keepers for one slot is not an ideal situation, but at my age you just have to be patient.
"You only have to look at Ben Foster and Scott Carson to realise that getting into your own first team is not always easy.
"If I am not going to be playing at City next season, then I would quite like to be out playing for someone else. I think that it is important for my development to do that."
Hart faces competition from Nicky Weaver, Andreas Isaksson and Kasper Schmeichel for a first-team spot at Eastlands.
The England Under-21 international joined City for £600,000 from Shrewsbury Town just over a year ago.
