The 23-year-old has been selected along with Portsmouth's David James and West Ham's Robert Green and, barring injury, will be in South Africa next month. However, the Blues goalkeeper knows he still has a lot to learn. "It is a great prospect. However, I respect it is the England squad and that it is a very high level to get into," said Hart, who admits his chances of actually featuring in this summer's World Cup are slim. "I am working towards it and doing everything I can to be involved but it is difficult as there are some great goalkeepers also looking for the same thing. "I am just going to do everything I can to give myself the best opportunity." Hart, who won just one senior cap against Trinidad and Tobago last summer, earned his call-up by Capello after an impressive season on loan at Birmingham which saw him named in the Professional Footballers' Association team of the year. "I have been happy with how it's gone and I was really proud to be picked by my fellow professionals and didn't expect it one little bit," he told the PFA's website www.givemefootball.com "It is a great honour and I will take every opportunity I can and keep on enjoying what I am doing." Should Hart be City's number one next season? Have your say. | Submit Comments| Comments (10)| Printable VersionAdd A CommentEnter your comments:Type your comment here...
