Four charged after city protests

Four people have been charged by police following rival protests in Manchester city centre at the weekend.More than 2,000 people, from the English Defence League (EDL) and Unite Against Fascism (UAF), demonstrated in Piccadilly Gardens. Police made 47 arrests and three men have now been charged with public order offences. A fourth faces charge related to possession of cannabis.
