Flight of fancy: Robinho says he's joining Santos but Man City deny deal

Robinho's disastrous spell at Manchester City appeared to be drawing to a close after it emerged that the Brazilian had thrown a tantrum because of Roberto Mancini's refusal to play him in every game. Britain's most expensive footballer announced his desire to leave and return on loan to his former club, Santos, during a radio interview in Brazil over the weekend.
