Teenage striker Ched Evans is hoping to make a first-team impact with Manchester City next season, having impressed while on loan with Norwich City.
The 19-year-old is preparing to make his full international debut for Wales this week, having netted ten goals in 28 appearances for the Canaries last term.
Evans commented: "I had a loan spell at Norwich last season and that worked well, I scored a few goals and got some experience.
"But I'm back at Manchester City now and with a new three-year contract, so I'm really pleased with the way things have gone.
"It means a lot to me to get a new contract with City. I've grown up there and I want to play in the first team there now and be a regular.
"When I go back for pre-season, I'll be firing on all cylinders and trying to impress whoever is the manager by then.
"I'm not worried by what's been going on at City. There's nothing I can do about it, apart from concentrate on my football and improving my game.
"It was a big step up going into the Championship on loan at Norwich, and since then I've been training with the first team at City."
