Eriksson takes Mexico helm

Sven-Goran Eriksson has been appointed the new coach of Mexico less than 48 hours after leaving Manchester City.
The 60-year-old former England manager was relieved of his duties at the City of Manchester Stadium on Monday despite a successful first season at the helm of the Citizens.
But Eriksson's immediate appointment has been ratified by the Mexican Football Federation, who were on the lookout for a new coach after sacking Hugo Sanchez in March.
"I want to thank the Mexican Football Federation for their confidence and support," said the Swede, who will officially take over on June 21.
"Our goal is (to qualify to) the 2010 World Cup and try to do it better than in the past.
"Mexico is a big, big job. To help Mexico reach the World Cup is a big challenge. You have 120 million people and it's motivating."
Eriksson's swift appointment midway through a World Cup qualifying campaign has been met with skepticism from some members of the squad and Mexican press, but the experienced coach has vowed to win over his doubters.
He added: I like big challenges so is up to me to convince the supporters and the players that I am the right man.
"I truly like big challenges. Mexico is a big challenge and that's why I am here."
