Elano completes City treble

Manchester City have made it a treble by securing the services of Brazil midfielder Elano for £8million from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Citizens had already snapped up Dinamo Zagreb right-back Vedran Corluka and Real Sociedad left-back Javier Garrido earlier on in the day, as Sven-Goran Eriksson continues to re-shape his squad.
Elano had been with Shakhtar for two seasons, having previously played for Guarani, Internacional and Santos back in his homeland and has signed a four-year contract with City.
He broke into the national team set-up in early 2004 and was part of the squad that was successful in the recent Copa America in Venezuela, although he missed out on a place in the final 24 for the 2006 World Cup finals.
City chief executive, Alistair Mackintosh, told the club's official website: "This morning has proved to be an immensely productive one, the outcome of which is the acquisition of three top-quality players for Manchester City Football Club.
"This has been achieved as a result of some tremendous teamwork and I would like to praise everyone involved for their efforts."
