Manchester City striker Paul Dickov is finally looking to make his mark during his second spell with the club, having finally overcome back problems.
The 34-year-old has yet to find the net since rejoining City from Blackburn Rovers in the summer, but is ready to push for a regular starting spot.
He told the club's official website: "My back is still a bit stiff and sore, but the original problems I had with the disc have cleared.
"I was suffering with pains shooting down my leg and it was hampering me. But they have gone now, and I feel fit and fine.
"Perhaps I didn't do myself justice earlier in the season by wanting to play so much when things weren't quite right.
"But that was my decision. Now I just want to make sure I start more matches."
