Veteran striker Paul Dickov is weighing up the possibility of finishing his career in the USA after coming to the end of his Manchester City contract.
The 35-year-old was loaned out to Crystal Palace and Blackpool last term and is now considering offers from Toronto and New York Red Bulls.
"One thing I don't want to do as a player, at whatever level, is overstay my welcome," the Scot told the Manchester Evening News.
"I'll be the first one to admit when I can't do it anymore.
"I still feel I've something to offer as a player but I want to go into coaching eventually and I'll need to do the badges because that's important.
"I know Mark Hughes well. I know how he trains and how his staff will want the players to train.
"He's the best I've played under and City will not lack for fitness and commitment that's for sure."
