City shake-up leads to exit

Manchester City have confirmed the departure of chief executive Alistair Mackintosh with immediate effect.
The future of Mackintosh had been in doubt since the arrival of Garry Cook as the club's new executive chairman as part of owner Thaksin Shinawatra's recent managerial shake-up.
The 37-year-old is believed to have been left out of the negotiations which brought Mark Hughes to Eastlands as the replacement for former manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Mackintosh, who was at the club prior to Shinawatra's takeover last summer and oversaw the move from Maine Road to the City of Manchester Stadium in 2003, has previously been linked with similar roles at fellow Premier League sides Fulham and Arsenal.
"I would like to thank Alistair for his decade of service," Cook told the club's official website.
"He took us through a period of great change, particularly the move from Maine Road to our home here at the City of Manchester Stadium and goes with our best wishes for the future."
