Chelsea have rejected a second offer from Manchester City for captain John Terry.
The Blues and England skipper was the subject of one unsuccessful bid from the ambitious Eastlands club following the end of the last Premier League season in May.
Chelsea snubbed that approach and have warned City that the 28-year-old defender is not for sale at any price.
The Citizens are reported to have made an offer of £25million for the central defender, who has spent all his professional career at Stamford Bridge.
"We can confirm we have completely rejected an offer from Manchester City for John Terry," read a statement on the club's official website.
"It was made clear to City, for a second time following an approach last season, that we would not entertain any conversation on the subject.
"At the time John also reiterated his total commitment to Chelsea.
"We would like to make it clear, and will not do so again, that John is not for sale."
