Manchester City chairman John Wardle has revealed that he has opened talks regarding potential investment in the club. Wardle divulged the news in a speech to City's annual general meeting on Thursday and is confident that more money will soon be coming into the club. "I can confirm that, during the past year, we've identified a series of leads in relation to possible investment in the club," he said. "I can further confirm that we're currently in talks with an investor that may lead to potential investment. "Talks are at a very early stage and accordingly we aren't yet in a position to disclose the identity of the possible investor."
