Manchester City have released eight players including former England international Trevor Sinclair, American winger DaMarcus Beasley and Hatem Trabelsi.
Stephen Jordan, Nathan D'Laryea, Djamel Abdoun, Laurence Matthewson and Ashley Williams have also been told their services lie away from Eastlands.
Sinclair made 65 league starts for City while Jordan made eight fewer.
Beasley returns to PSV Eindhoven at the end of his season-long loan from the Dutch club, while Tunisia international Trabelsi started 20 games following his arrival in the August transfer window.
D'Laryea failed to make a first-team appearance for the club but was a regular in the reserves and French winger Abdoun arrived in January on a six-month loan from French side Ajaccio.
Goalkeeper Matthewson played for the reserves this season as did midfielder Williams.
