City consider loaning out Hart

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has revealed that Joe Hart could be loaned out next season.

The England Under-21 international lost his starting place last season following the January arrival of Shay Given from Newcastle United.

Hart did not make a single appearance in the final four months of the season and Hughes is keen for the 22-year-old to keep playing first-team football.

Regarding a potential loan, Hughes said: "It is something we are looking at.

"It might benefit Joe because it would give him the chance to play on a more regular basis.

"That in itself would help his development. It is something we are seriously considering and it might well happen."

Premier League newcomers Birmingham City has already been mentioned as a possible loan destination next season.
