City close to agreeing move for Bilbao star Llotente

Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Athletic Bilbao forward Fernando Llorente.

According to The Sun, both clubs are in negotiations with a fee of around £30million being agreed.

The Spanish international has scored 23 goals so far this season and despite progressing to the semi-finals of this years Europa League, Bilbao are in danger of failing to qualify for next years competition.

A number of clubs are interested in Llorente, 22, but very few clubs will want to match the £200,000 a-week offer from City.
