City ace Robinho defends club form

Manchester City forward Robinho believes the perception that he performs better for Brazil than he does for his club side is misleading. The 25-year-old's form at City has dipped alarmingly in recent weeks, with his most recent sub-standard display coming against Sunderland last time out, a game which Mark Hughes' team narrowly won after Robinho had missed a penalty.Robinho's displays, particularly away from Eastlands, have been in stark contrast to the form he showed for the Selecao in a friendly against Italy at the Emirates Stadium last month, when the former Real Madrid player capped a good display with an exquisitely taken goal in a 2-0 win for the South Americans.City's fans are demanding better from their record signing, but Robinho has hinted his performances in the league are being affected by those around him."I truly dedicate myself to my club," Robinho said in quotes reported by The Independent."Sometimes I am questioned [as to] why I play better for the national squad than my club Manchester City."I have the same will at both places, but Manchester City is one team and the national squad at Brazil is another."No disrespect to the players at Manchester City, who are very good, but here I play with Kaka, Ronaldinho, and it is totally different."Here I play well, but I believe I am playing well at Manchester City. I have scored 11 goals."
