Bolton Wanderers step up interest in Shaun Wright-Phillips

Bolton are in negotiations with Manchester City to sign England winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Trotters boss Owen Coyle has been keeping an eye on Wright-Phillips' situation all summer and he is ready to ramp up his interest after Lee Chung-yong was ruled out for nine months with a broken leg. Sunderland are also interested in the former Chelsea player, 29, but Bolton are confident of landing him in a cut-price deal. Coyle revealed his admiration for the winger this week, saying: 'I have too much respect for [City manager] Roberto Mancini and his staff to talk about their player.
