Bundesliga outfit Hamburg have confirmed that highly-rated defender Jerome Boateng is seeking a move away from the club in the summer.
The 21-year-old defender is believed to have a £10million clause in his contract that could trigger a transfer away from the Nordbank Arena and it is widely thought that big-spending Manchester City could make a move for his signature.
His brother Kevin-Prince is already playing in England with recently relegated and FA Cup finalists Portsmouth.
A club statement released to German newspaper Sportinformationsdienst said: "Jorg Neubauer, the agent of Jerome, has given us information that Jerome is planning to make a transfer this summer.
"There is no deal agreed yet, however. This is all I can say on that."
