Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari is hoping to bag more goals before the end of the season after returning to the scoresheet at the weekend.
The Zimbabwe international striker ended an eight-match barren spell with the final goal in Sunday's 3-1 win over his former club Portsmouth at the City of Manchester Stadium.
The 29-year-old had been without a goal since his debut strike in February's derby victory over Manchester United, but the transfer window signing is now hoping to boost his tally further before the curtain comes down on the season.
He told the club's official website: "It was nice to get that first goal at home and I've been looking for that.
"I'm getting there slowly and it would be nice to get a few more goals before the end of the season.
"Of course it's difficult, but I'm very happy and the team are getting used to me playing up front on my own.
"I'm very happy with the support I've had so far. Everyone has been great, even the lads in training keep on saying it will be okay, so hopefully in the next game I'll score again.
"I'm improving and it was probably my second best game for City so I will have to play like that as many times as I can."
