Manchester City will sell Joey Barton in the summer if they receive an offer of £5.5million for the midfielder, according to the player's agent Willie McKay.
The 24-year-old has been suspended by his club for the rest of the season after becoming involved in a training ground fight with team-mate Ousmane Dabo.
The Frenchman wants to take legal proceedings against Barton after being forced to have hospital treatment for the injuries he suffered in the attack.
"What's happened is very unfortunate," McKay told The Sun.
"I've spoken to City's chief executive, Alistair Mackintosh, and he told me they want the price that's in Joey's contract.
"If City get the £5.5million they'll be happy and Joey will be sold."
Everton have been linked with the England international who appears to have played his last game for City.
Reports also suggest that Sunderland and Tottenham could be in the hunt for Barton's signature over the summer.
