Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton has rubbished reports that he is set to quit the club in the January transfer window.
Barton, 24, has been touted as a possible England international but after submitting a transfer request last season has been continually linked with a move away from Eastlands.
However, the club's top-scorer this term insists he is happy to stay at the City of Manchester Stadium despite reported interest from Middlesbrough.
"I am very happy here at City and have absolutely no desire or intention to leave," he told the club's official website.
"I want to concentrate on playing for this football club and am very positive about the future.
"I trust this is the end of the matter and we can get on with preparing for the Christmas period of games."
